Job Description

Reports To: Restaurant Manager Purpose: To create 100% guest satisfaction by delivering food and beverage service to restaurant guests. Constituents (or Customers): Guests and employees Indicators of Success: • Customer satisfaction & loyalty goals (Guest Satisfaction scores, guest surveys, annual quality review) • Financial (outlet revenue, average check) Areas of Responsibility: • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing One Step Ahead service behaviors to exceed guests’ expectations o Communicates and demonstrates One Step Ahead service behaviors to other employees (Create Confidence, Encourage Success, Make It Happen) o Communicates and demonstrates the LEAD model of service recovery behaviors to other employees (Listen, Empathize, Apologize Sincerely, Deliver a Solution) • Provides food and beverage service to guests in the restaurant o Possesses a valid liquor card at all times o Provides guests with overview of menu choices o Takes guest’s order – provides explanation of menu as appropriate o Prepares order for presentation to guest o Replenishes beverages o Makes and pours coffee for the customers o Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware o Cleans tables, chairs and floor area o Resets tables quickly o Polishes silver and folds linens o Assists service team as necessary to meet and exceed the guests’ expectations o Sets up beverage stations for appropriate shift by brewing coffee and setting out condiments as appropriate • Adheres to legal and/or company policies and standards o Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service o Handles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with company policies • Ability to perform considerable amounts of physical activity on a continual basis
